Foundation Center selected us for a nationwide marketing campaign to recruit new foundations for their electronic grants data-reporting program. The campaign strategy included a partnership with the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers and its member associations to recruit foundations in the Forum’s network. The regional associations are a trusted resource for their member foundations, and thus the campaign strategy was in part based around messaging directly from the regional associations to their members. We developed a toolkit with all of the tools and outreach materials necessary to make it as easy as possible for the regional associations to promote the program to their members. The core message focused on the benefit of “getting on the map,” and subsequent messaging included the details of how to participate.
